catalina – Intermittent black display Macbook Professional early 2013

I’m new right here and have a query relating to black display on a MacBook Professional early 2013. Just a few weeks in the past I up to date to Catalina and simply a while after the display went black. It chimes at startup and generally the display lits up with the Apple brand and the startup boot line. When the boot is nearly completed the display blacks out. I can see the login display and be logged in and work on it by display sharing from my mac mini. However I can’t see the booting course of or go into different modes reminiscent of disk utility or restore from the magazine mini. I’ve re-installed catalina with no luck, and I appear not have the ability to reinstall an older model as mojave. It provides an error that the installer is just too outdated.

Battery is exchanged and display cable attachment to the principle board has been checked.

Any clues of what it may be? I want to set up mojave simply to make certain that catalina shouldn’t be doing something, however I’ve no extra concepts of the right way to proceed.

Additions as of 27 December. I assumed I solved it with switching of GPU. I managed to get full startup sequence with functioning display. However I can’t reproduce it. I’m attempting gswitch and it doesn’t matter if I take advantage of the inner or discrete GPU setting. Similar black display and intermittent sample of Apple brand seen throughout startup. I seen that when it began up usually there was a slight dimming of the Apple brand, on the identical time spot because the display shuts down. So there’s something within the startup sequence that does some switching of GPU; both is works with some slight dimming or it will get black.
