itunes – Copy subset of Music library to second pc, preserving metadata?

On my main Mac, I’ve a reasonably large music library. I’ve a secondary Mac with a smaller exhausting drive, so I’d like to repeat only a smaller assortment of my favorite music throughout, for listening after I’m working/travelling with that Mac. I’ve the subset of my music picked out as a playlist; I’ve a big USB stick accessible; and there’s no present Music library on the goal pc that I care about preserving.

I can copy simply the uncooked recordsdata throughout, through a USB stick, by choosing all of the playlist songs in Music, hitting cmdC (Edit > Copy), then going to the Finder and hitting cmdV (Edit > Paste) within the vacation spot folder on the USB drive; then on the goal pc, importing these right into a contemporary Music library.

Nonetheless, that loses quite a lot of metadata from the library (scores, play counts, playlists, not less than). I can discover loads of directions for copying an complete iTunes/Music library together with metadata (and I’ve completed that previously) — however I can’t use these now, since my complete library is simply too large to suit on the secondary pc, not to mention the USB stick. So my general query: Is there a option to copy only a chosen subset of a Music library from one Mac to a different, retaining not less than the scores (and if doable, different library metadata)?

I’m open to options involving commandline instruments or scripting, if wanted. Each computer systems are operating Ventura 13.6.3 (can’t replace additional, since Apple now designates >5-year-old units as Classic).
