Shortly after Apple terminated Epic Video games’ developer account, the EU Fee launched a probe towards the Cupertino-based firm to see if there’s any violation of the Digital Markets Act (DMA). And a swift determination adopted.

In an X put up, Epic Video games CEO Tim Sweeney mentioned that Apple might be reinstating the European developer account after the EU Fee enforced the DMA. The X put up even means that the EU’s determination paves the way in which for an Epic Video games Retailer on iOS in Europe.

This has been a long-standing dispute between Apple and Epic Video games, as the previous doesn’t permit third-party app shops on its platform, which immediately violates EU’s Digital Markets Act.

After additional talks, Apple says Epic Sweden AB has agreed to play by the foundations and its account might be reinstated after agreeing to the Apple Developer Program insurance policies. Nonetheless, it feels like Epic Video games will not be backtracking on its dedication to deliver Epic Video games app retailer in addition to Fortnite to iOS in Europe.
