I’ve this very annoying drawback after doing the minor model improve of MacOS (14.3 to 14.4). After restarting the machine, the colour profile was very totally different on my exterior monitor (HP U32 4K) and at first I could not determine what was flawed and why the whites have a harsh blue tint. After trying on the settings of the monitor and macOS, I realised that the difficulty was truly True Tone not engaged on my exterior monitor. In addittion, Evening shift can also be not engaged on the exterior monitor.
Issues I’ve tried:
- restarting / shutdown / unplugging the usb-c cable and utilizing a unique cable (hdmi to usb-c)
- attempting out all color profiles within the show part of the macbook and exterior monitor
- manufacturing facility reset on the monitor
- setting the exterior monitor as main / mirror
- altering privateness and safety of the
Nothing appears to work. So far as I am conscious (please right me if I am flawed), the true tone choice is the OS altering the present profile / white factors of the extenal monitor. On this case for no matter purpose the OS just isn’t doing it, does anybody have any clue tips on how to repair it? Thanks!

I’ve tried it with the next displays, and True tone / night time shift works tremendous:
- An older NEC 24″ monitor
- A Dell monitor (34″ ultrawide)
- LG ultrafine 27″ 4K
